Mon premier article sur ce blog, publié il y a maintenant plus de six mois, s'intitulait "C'est le Carême!" Je m'y exprimais sur ce que signifie pour moi ce temps de notre calendrier liturgique. Avec cet article-ci, nous allons procéder de manière légèrement différente, par le biais de question et réponses pour expliquer ce qu'est l'Avent. Unless you live in a cave, aren't active on any social media or simply don't read the news, there is no way you're not aware of the female campaign #MeToo. Just in case you fit into one of those three categories (we forgive you), let me break it down for you: this campaign started in response to Hollywood powerful director Harvey Weinstein’s sexual misconduct allegations, and is basically a way for any woman who's be sexually assaulted or harassed (that would be most women) to either share her story if she wishes to, denounce her bully or simply post the hashtag in sign of solidarity. In my point of view, this campaign has had a very liberating effect for women:  many have been able to face their dark past and "come out of the closet" about situations that were never completely dealt with.   However, it does come with negative aspects.
